We immediately told them (and showed them) what we were doing. They enjoyed the chat and went about their business keeping our streets safe.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00892893054249555495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5954168301900635202.post-92186643866702814922010-02-04T14:17:34.471-07:002010-02-04T14:17:34.471-07:00I even updated my Oregon 300 and it added a very i...I even updated my Oregon 300 and it added a very important feature that had been lacking... In fact, I do a base coat and then I use a stencil that says "Geocache". If a non-cacher (ie the police) find the box they 1. won't be freaked out as much to find an ammo can that says it has ammo in it and 2. it'll be identified as a Geocache.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00892893054249555495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5954168301900635202.post-39983087906637135272010-02-04T14:05:27.651-07:002010-02-04T14:05:27.651-07:00Also make sure that you have your maps loaded for ...Also make sure that you have your maps loaded for the area that you're going to. It sucks getting to where you want to be and realizing that you only have the base map information.

I too own a 300 and I just drag both of the files out of the zip file that I get from the pocket query. I don't even go in/out of GSAK for my 300.

On my Legend, I have custom icons for the caches that I load. I have different icons for the different styles (puzzle, multi, etc) as well as different ones for size (green = small, gold = regular, red = large). This should work, in fact, it was designed to work, on your 60cx. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you or your readers the files. (Unfortunately, it does NOT work on the Oregon).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00892893054249555495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5954168301900635202.post-14588485344746560252009-02-11T05:05:00.000-07:002009-02-11T05:05:00.000-07:00I certainly do not consider myself a hero but I am...I certainly do not consider myself a hero but I am military and I'm also and Eagle Scout! We tried twice to locate the cache, before another cacher told us that it was gone. Wasn't archived, which was such a time waster.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12498466480924845706noreply@blogger.com
